Terms of service
Version 0.2 · updated October 13, 2026
These terms govern the use of Bento, the scheduling, records and online booking system for practices in Honduras (the "service"). By creating an account or a practice, you accept these terms, the privacy notice and the data processing agreement that is part of them.
1. Who uses the service
- Practice owner: the person who creates the practice. They choose the plan, invite the staff and are responsible for how their team uses the service.
- Professionals and staff: the people the owner invites. Each has their own account and sees only what their role and permissions allow.
- Patients: book appointments on the practice's public page and may use the patient portal. Patients do not purchase the service.
2. Accounts and security
- Every account is personal. Do not share your password, backup codes or passkeys.
- Two-step verification is required for roles with clinical access when the practice requires it, and always for the platform console.
- Tell us right away if you think someone got into your account.
3. Patient data
- The practice is the controller of its patients' data. Bento acts as processor: it stores and processes the data only to provide the service and on the practice's instructions.
- We do not sell data or use it for advertising. We do not train artificial intelligence models on it.
- How we handle data is in the privacy notice, and patients' rights are in Your data.
4. Plans, prices and payment
- The service is billed in US dollars (US$). The published price is the plan's final price.
- The owner's account gets a single 14-day trial with no card, starting on the Solo plan. Practices the owner creates later join that account's subscription.
- Payment is by bank transfer to the US dollar account shown under "Plan and billing". Once approved, the paid period is extended and a digital invoice is issued; you can download it from the payment history, and it is also emailed to the owner.
- If you need additional details on your invoice, write to billing@dukebento.com.
- If a payment is late, the practice keeps full access for 7 days; it then becomes read-only for 90 days, during which it can still view and export its data.
5. Acceptable use
Do not use the service to send unsolicited messages, impersonate someone else, try to reach other practices' data or interfere with how it works.
6. End of service
The owner can close the practice at any time. On closing, all data can be exported; we keep it for 90 more days and then delete it, except what the law requires us to keep.
7. Changes and contact
If we change these terms in a significant way, we will announce it in the app before the change takes effect. Billing questions: billing@dukebento.com.
